On Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Koworx Coworking Space in Venice, competitors will race to devour Parlor Doughnuts‘ signature strawberry shortcake donuts—no hands allowed!
As Venice Nights and Gback Media, we’re excited to dive deep into this flagship event highlight. This contest combines sweet indulgence with competitive spirit, drawing families, foodies, and daredevils to crown the fastest strawberry shortcake eater in Venice. With limited spots and live Facebook streaming, it’s set to be the most entertaining part of the night.
Strawberry Shortcake Speed Eating Contest
Contest Format
The contest kicks off at 5:15 PM in the dedicated courtyard area (half for competitors and viewing, half for Parlor Doughnuts merch, products, and sales). Multiple elimination rounds will be held based on the number of entrants:
- Example: 30+ competitors → 3 heats of 10
- Top 3 fastest from each heat advance to the Gold Medal Round
- Final Round: Top 9 (or adjusted) compete head-to-head
Prizes & Winner Announcement
Winners will be announced at 7:30 PM—right in time to celebrate with the live music! Prizes to be announced for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placers.

Entry Fees
Registration is simple and limited—first-come, first-served:
- Adult Entry (18+): $20 per competitor
- Kids Entry (Ages 8–17): $20 per child (parent/guardian must sign waiver on-site)
- Family Value Pack (up to 4 people): $50 total (parent/guardian signs for all)
How to Register
Online registration is open now and closes at 4:00 PM on event day. Day-of registration is available at the Info Booth in the courtyard until 4:00 PM. Spots fill fast—sign up early!
All participants (and guardians for minors) must sign a liability waiver on-site.

Contest Rules
To ensure a safe, fun competition, follow these strict rules:
- No Hands Allowed – Mouth only! Hands behind your back or on the table.
- All Donut Must Be Consumed – The entire strawberry shortcake donut (cake, toppings, and all) must be fully eaten.
- Clean Plate Finish – Judges inspect plates. Any crumbs larger than a dime disqualifies you.
- Time-Based – Fastest clean finish wins each heat and the final.
- No Cheating – No throwing food, sharing, or spitting.
- Safety First – Water provided. If a competitor appears distressed, judges or medical staff may stop the round immediately.
- Judges’ Decisions Final – No appeals.
- Live on Facebook – The contest will be streamed live—come ready to entertain and represent!
If turnout is strong, we’ll create a separate Kids Division (ages 8–17) with adjusted portions and rules for fair play.
