Get ready, beach lovers and board riders—because the fifth annual Spring Fling Skim Jam is about to crash into Nokomis Beach with more energy than a double-overhead swell. From May 16–18, 2025, Florida’s Gulf Coast becomes the ultimate hub for the pros, the groms, and everyone in between, as this epic Pro/Am Skimboard Competition hits the shores as part of the Skim USA Tour.
This is more than a competition—it’s a three-day coastal culture fest with sand, sun, and serious style.
🏄 Friday, May 16 – Free Skim Clinic & Kickoff
Whether you’re new to the sport or just want to sharpen your skills, Alley Oop Skim Camps is hosting a FREE Skim Clinic right on the beach. Registration opens at 4:30 PM, and from 5–6 PM, you’ll be carving the shoreline like a pro with hands-on instruction.
After you rinse off the salt, head over to Island Fin Poke from 7–9 PM for Skim Jam Rider Check-In, meet-and-greets, and a sneak peek at who’s about to own the weekend.

🌊 Saturday, May 17 – Competition Begins & After Party
Saturday is when the action kicks into high gear.
7:30 AM: Vendors set up
8:00 AM: Mandatory riders meeting
9:00 AM: The Spring Fling Skim Jam officially launches
Expect big air, clean lines, and a crowd full of stoke as skimboarders from across the country compete for glory.
At noon, competitors will refuel with lunch, once again courtesy of Island Fin Poke.
Then, trade the boards for brews at the After Party Fundraiser for Skim USA from 7–9 PM at Shuck & Ale in Venice.

🏆 Sunday, May 18 – Finals & Awards
It all comes down to this.
Day Two kicks off with vendor setup at 8 AM, followed by the final competition rounds at 9 AM. Watch the best of the best go board-to-board before the awards ceremony, which takes place immediately after the last wave is ridden.
